Maggie Evans -- In the Waiting Line

The vampire Barnabas Collins tries to brainwash Maggie Evans into believing she is his lost-love Josette Dupres, whom she resembles. Willie Loomis, former criminal and grave robber- now slave to Barnabas, tries to convince Maggie to go along with Barnabas' plans in order to spare her the pain and misery that Willie is well accustomed to. Maggie, who refuses to become the vampire bride of Barnabas, attempts to destroy him. Willie manages to talk Barnabas out of killing Maggie and she is locked in the cell in the basement. Maggie keeps remembering who she actually is, but she is constantly being told that she is Josette, and kept under a spell with the help of the music box (that once belonged to Josette) she is living in an imaginary world, hidden away from the town and her loved ones.
