This recipe is from Facebook Souped Up Recipes I made this last year, however, the video was almost 40 minutes long. I re-edited it to shorten it to under 20 minutes. Orange Chicken – from Souped up Recipes on Facebook Trim excess fat from chicken breast (2 large) Slice about ¼” thick and set aside in a bowl. Add ½ teaspoon salt, pepper, and the juice of ½ an orange. Stir, cover, refrigerate for 30 minutes. Batter: 2 eggs ½ cup cornstarch mix. (If too thick, add more egg) Mix until smooth, stir in chicken to coat evenly. Heat oil in a well-seasoned wok to 360 degrees Add chicken in batches so you don’t crowd the pan Cook for 4 minutes Remove and set aside for 10 minutes. For the 2nd fry: Heat oil to 390 degrees, add all the chicken, fry 3-4 minutes, remove. Clean out the Wok, re-season Sauce Add 2 Tablespoons oil to a smoking hot wok, over medium/high heat. Add 1.5 tablespoons fresh, minced ginger 1 Tablespoon garlic and chili powder (about 2 teaspoons worth) Stir Add 1 ½ fresh squeezed oranges 3 ½ Tablespoons light soy sauce ¼ cup brown sugar The zest of 2 oranges Stir to melt sugar, add 1-2 tablespoons honey Add 3 Tablespoons white vinegar Add 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon cornstarch to 1 Tablespoon water, mix, add to the wok. Stir until thickened. Turn off the heat Add all chicken, coat well, serve over white rice
