ChargePoint AseptiSafe® aseptic transfer Split Butterfly Valves (SBV) provide improved sterility assurance during powder handling operations in aseptic processing. Whether you are using flexible packaging such as the ChargeBag® or rigid containers, during dispensing operations the ChargePoint AseptiSafe® system and dedicated accessories ensure that the product container and SBV connections are sterilised and processed correctly to allow the controlled dispensing of powder from the isolator to ensure integrity of the product and the critical area. Worker protection from potent/toxic products is also assured through validated dust particulate containment performance. This animation shows how the ChargePoint AseptiSafe® system can be used in conjunction with generic sterilisation machines and dedicated cleaning stations to ensure the SBV Passive connection and container is suitable sterilised prior to powder dispensing. The SBV Active connection can be decontaminated alongside the isolator to eliminate the ring of concern with a cleaning accessory. The powder is then dispensing either inside the isolator through the isolator wall via a SBV Active connection. In any case the dispensed material can then be taken for further processing, filling or storage steps where a corresponding Active connection is waiting to complete the closed transfer process.
