Every February, the stock car world prepares to race in The World Center of Racing to kick off the ARCA season and the NASCAR season. Most notably, the Daytona 500, the biggest stock car race of the season. Since 2021, the novelty of “Speedweeks” has been slowly losing its specialty due to lack of preparations for the Daytona races and hype, which is basically 4 days of track activity at Daytona whether it’s qualifying, Duel racing, lack of practice sessions, and the Daytona 500, which starts later in the day. Not only that, there’s been lack of professionalism racing on-track due to no respect or gimmicks such as green-white-checkereds. In this video, I’ll be talking about why I think Daytona Speedweeks doesn’t feel social any more due to various reasons.
