Today we will be taking a look at BoatBuckle Mini G2 Retractable Ratcheting Transom Tie Down, Part Number IMF106877. The BoatBuckle Mini G2 Retractable Ratcheting Transom Tie Down is a quick and easy way to secure your boat's stern to your trailer. It's made out of a seat belt grade polyester webbing. It has a 1400 lb. max. Load limit and a safe working load limit of 466 lbs. The heavy duty ratcheting strap permanently mounts to your boat's trailer with the included hardware. It has a dual release lever with a sure grip rubber coated handle with a self retracting design which allows it for rapid loading and unloading. The S hooks are vinyl coated to protect your boat's finish. The whole tie down has a durable construction with a sturdy plastic housing and stainless steel spring so it's going to offer a long lasting performance. Now that we have gone over the features, I am going to go ahead and show you how to get it installed. You can simply just mount this to your trailer but today we are going to be using it in conjunction with our BoatBuckle Mounting Brackets and that is going to be Part Number IMF14254. First thing we are going to do is go ahead and grab our handle. We are going to press in our release, raise it all the way up out of the way so we can easily mount it. We are just going to mount it to the outside of our bracket here so we will line up our holes, put our bolt through, grab my flat washer and then my nut. Once I get that hand tightened, I will grab my wrench and I will just tighten that down. Once I get it loosely installed, I will just rotate it up into the position that I want which will be right about there, and then I will just finish tightening it down. I would say that's good there. Now that we have got it mounted, let's go ahead and attach our S hook to our boat. Now please note that you will have to have the release all the way up in the same position. This is going to allow it to move freely. We will just bring it up and attach it. Now in order to start ratcheting it down, we need to get it out of the free spool position. We are going to press our release, we are going to come down and let it line up with the teeth. If we go all the way down, we won't be able to ratchet it. That's the position you want it when you are done ratcheting. We will move it slightly up one, then we can start ratcheting it up. Once we get it tight, we can push it all the way down until it locks in position. With this side done, we can just repeat the same process on the other side.
