This was one of the most confusing trails I’ve ever done. Not because of the elevation or mileage, but because the trail repeatedly vanished. We crossed rivers over bridges and on foot, followed fading paths until there were no more footprints, just scattered trail markers guiding us into the night. Eventually we found a flat spot to set up camp, and the next day we explored the area around Price Lake. I’m currently training to climb Mt. Rainier in honor of my grandparents.
