Volunteer Program at Thai Freedom House

Over our nearly 8 years of providing service to refugees from Burma and Minority Groups in Thailand we have also developed a very structured volunteer program with a comprehensive training and orientation. This video was shot by our friend, videographer Kevin LJ to show you what it is like to arrive and be picked up, brought on a city tour and interact with our children. It is a small glimpse into the volunteer program which can take as many different directions as there are different types of volunteers. After applying on our website, we will begin to prepare you for your trip with orientation materials and on our end we will arrange all of your accommodation, transportation, food, Thai language classes and more. When you arrive you are picked up by our staff, shown around the city and then given an orientation about our programs. Then, we will develop a project specific to your set of skills, experience and interests, this is to ensure that when you leave you feel satisfaction in the fact that you create or contributed to something that will help us in the long term and also something that is concrete to put on your CV and hopefully inspires you to continue doing volunteer work in the future.
