These are my Alpinestars Limited Edition Cal Crutchlow Supertech R Boots, which were released in 2019. They are the replica boot for MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow. Cal has been in MotoGP since 2011, racing for Yamaha Tech 3, Ducati, and LCR Honda. Cal is the first Brit to win a race in the premiere class since Barry Sheene in 1981. Cal is one of my favorite riders in MotoGP, and I really love his brutal honesty and straight shooter mentality. If you ride a British motorcycle at the track, you need these boots in your arsenal. These boots look amazing in the flesh. I love the high contrast between the fluorescent yellow and the grey & black areas. But the real treat is how the back of the boots are white, with a Union Jack on the back of the area that goes around your calf. It really gives these boots that bit of pop that I like in my track boots. The other thing I dig about these boots, is the lack of perforation in the leather. Whereas Alpinestars Supertech R boots are typically perforated, these are not. Which means you can wear the in cooler weather. So these are perfect track boots for the spring and fall seasons, pretty much the start and end of track season for most people. The Supertech R is the top of the line race boot from Alpinestars, and they works well with any race suit pretty much. Except Dainese suits, which fit better with an “in” style boot. These boots offer amazing protection, and they are über comfortable. Yes they are large/clunky, but the inner bootie design actually makes it easy to walk around in these. If you are in the market for a race boot to wear in cooler temperatures, this non-perforated Supertech R is the way to go. Super loud, super stylish, these replica Cal Crutchlow boots are dope AF.
