I almost burned this mystery log… then I cut it open on the sawmill. These hardwood logs have been sitting in my log yard for YEARS. I’m always cutting custom pine orders so I never seem to have time to mill them. Honestly I was getting so frustrated I almost burned the whole pile just to clear the yard. Before I did that, I grabbed one mystery log that I couldn’t even identify anymore and decided to put it on the sawmill. When I finally sliced into it, the lumber that came out surprised me. Turns out this old forgotten log was hiding some beautiful wood.
