28 Shaft dewatering test run done

By Hector Simfukwe CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines has conducted a test run on the dewatering of 28 Shaft at the mine. The pumping out of water from 28 Shaft will pave the way for the commencement of actual copper mining at the site which has been dormant for over 20 years. President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, in April 2024, commissioned the de-watering of the mine in which the owners have invested 500 million United States dollars in the project.
