Notes: Also known as Demon's Judgement. Japanese - 悪魔の審判 今世紀最後の心理ゲーム Enhancements: None Emulator Used: Ares Machine: Pioneer Laseractive NEC PAC Bios: Laseractive PAC-N1 1.02 JP PCE-LP1 1.02 JP Developer: Planet Publisher: Planet Played: Played three quizzes. Thoughts: Akuma no Shinpan or Demon's Judgement which I will call it is a game by Planet whom I never heard of and have only made four other games in their history according to Mobygames. All their other games are adult titles presumably phonographic in nature. Demon's Judgement is their only family friendly title. Mobygames says it's a fortune telling game, but I think it's trying to tell you your personality by asking you a series of questions in a topic of your choosing. Some of the questions are profound moral dilemmas like would you like this apple pie without apples or how would you prepare your side dishes in your lunchbox? After you answer the last question I think he says what personality you have. For instance the first topic was about cakes and after the last question I think he called me a pervert. Honestly though I'm not sure. I don't understand Japanese and was doing my best to follow along with Google Translate. There are a variety of topics to choose from some of them are banzai, buses, cakes, corridors, volcanos, and lunchboxes to name a few. Each topic has their own amount of questions. I think you give different response by pressing button 1 or button 2. The second section has the guy giving your results to each question. After this you get a ending scene. (Though I accidently skipped the one on the first quiz though I showed them on the second and third quizzes.) As far as the FMVs are concerned I think they had a lot of fun with these. Even though I don't understand Japanese and have a hard time telling emotion and acting in foreign films even I could tell the guy playing the demon was having fun in his role. The sets are really cool as well. It's interesting, but fun? Not really. Sure It seems funny, but it seems like it would get old fast. Once you've seen one quiz you've pretty much seen them all. I wouldn't recommend checking this out especially since Laseractive games and hardware are expensive and you need a decent PC to emulate them from what I remember reading. The game files are also huge as well. So keep that in mind if you want to emulate them.
