Thoughts: Zero Gunner is a two game series by Psikyo. Psikyo is a game compony that primary does shmups. They have lots of well known games in their catalogs like Gunbird and the Strikers 1945 series. In Zero Gunner you go on a mission of your choice either in Asia, Europe, or the USA to fight terrifying terrorists. Each mission is four missions long and they get progressively harder as they go on. Expert Mission which I played for this video combines almost all the missions into one mode allowing you to play almost all of them. It also steps up the difficulty of them. As far as gameplay goes you can lock on to enemies and circle your gunship around them while firing on them which is really cool. Your lock on meter depletes while locked on, but when you release it it instantly replenishes so there is no cool down period. There are bomb powerups and firepower ups as well. This is a very fun game which I highly recommend. As far as I know Zero Gunner was never ported and remains exclusive to arcades unlike Zero Gunner 2. Try this out it in Mame it is a really fun game! If your computer isn't fast enough to run Zero Gunner you can always run it in Model 2 Emulator.
