The Surf Flex Lab at the University of Wollongong (in Australia) has been busy hooking up sensors to our fins and surfboards – like the one shown in the video. We took this board surfing, and found that both fins flex in the same directions during surfing maneuvers, the details are in the paper we published – and it is open access, which means it is free to read.
