This video is good and bad for the camera footage (timelapse is ok), I did not realize the new phone camera needed to be held sideways to not do the narrow images...now I do. So I need to figure out if I just need to keep using the old phone or what for it. Anyway, the project, back when I bought the quick change tool post/lathe package from https://littlemachineshop.com/ it came with a blank to use for making your own custom T-nut. And now that I got the milling attachment and setup sort of figured out, I decided it was time to try and make the custom T-nut. So that is what this project will do, make the custom T-nut. One thing I learned the hard way, was that I have been doing the milling in the WRONG direction, ie I thought I was doing it right, but was actually doing a climb cut...which is bad for routers and lathes as it can cause the bit to catch into the material and do bad things....which it did...I now have a chipped end mill that I need to sharpen (maybe I can use the cutter grinder for that) or I may just need to throw it out. :( I learned though and no other damage to me or the project or the lathe occurred...so it was not the end of the world. And overall, the project was successful and I now have a much more secure and proper T-Nut to use for my quick change tool post vice for future projects for the lathe.
