First person GoPro footage of me playing The Grid in my home arcade, home of a complete 6 set of Grid Cabinets! See me destroy the competition in this brutal multiplayer match against my friends! To make a long story short, The Grid arcade game by Midway is my favorite game of all time. It was Midways last arcade game to ever come out in the year 2000. There is no one on the planet more obsessed with this game than i am. I have the most extensive grid related collection in existence. I am one of the very few lucky owners of a complete set of 6 linked cabinets. Not many known full 6 cabinet sets out there exist. My setup is the first of its kind. Due to the size of my arcade I could not have all 6 machines side by side next to each other. So I ran FireWire cable into FireWire repeaters and ran it all along the perimeter of the room reaching to the other side connecting from one 3 set to the other and it works like a dream! I have never seen a unique setup like this and it makes the experience that much more fun! Yelling at each other from across the room makes for a good time lol! This game is getting rarer by the day and it’s value is steadily increasing. This game was absolutely ahead of its time. It’s a shame that most people don’t even know what The Grid even is. My main goal and purpose is to bring awareness to this game that I love so much and to keep its energy and legacy alive! During the spring of this year I started my own festival/party called Grid Fest. I had 4 of them and they got bigger and bigger each event! I made exclusive merchandise that I handed out at my parties including custom Mylar balloons, Grid lighters, Grid socks, Grid enamel pins, Grid t shirts, Grid embroidered crew neck sweatshirts, Grid stickers, I made custom grid barstools for the arcade, and I even made a custom Gobo Projector that keeps the Grid Logo blasted against my barn like a bat symbol during my Grid Fests! It’s truly a site to see. Eventually I will have footage of my events uploaded here when I get someone to come film and edit. I’ve put numerous amounts of people onto the game and it’s popularity is growing and I get new players to come by and play every time! The Grid Fests I only hold during the nicer weather, however I have private Grid Parties every single month. Consider like the new poker night! The above footage is from this past weekend at one of the said private Grid sessions! I became friends with some of the developers of the game that I continue to share my passion with which I consider myself fortunate. Most of them have a good portion of above said merchandise as thank your gifts. I’m constantly making new items to our homage to the game I love the most.
