Green Bay Trailing with Evanston Rides

The Evanston Transit Alliance along with Downtown Evanston and Chicago Family Biking/Kidical Mass host group bike rides from Fountain Square, May through October. This was the first Tuesday night adult ride of the season. We had two groups, this is the "faster" of the two and we went about 20 miles round trip up the Green Bay Trail. A larger group took a shorter route at a slightly more casual pace. The Green Bay Trail is a rail trail that uses the old Northshore Electric line tracks. That train used to provide service from Chicago to Milwaukee but with construction of the I94 expressway it soon went out of business. The Metra train here only goes as far as Kenosha. The next Tuesday night adult ride is June 3rd, 2025 at 5:30pm. Meet at Fountain Square. The first Kidical Mass of the season is Saturday, 5/31/25. Meet at Raymond Park at 10am and ride to the King Arts playground.
