**Best watched in 1080HD..Full Screen.. Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival was held on Saturday 7th November 2015. This is the first time i have ever filmed it, and here are a selection of clips from the Night. The earliest record of the Carnival dates back to 1847 and is the oldest Carnival in the UK. Today it is the largest illuminated Carnival in Europe and one of the largest in the World. It is estimated that about 150,000 People attended this Year to watch the 1.7 Mile Procession wind it's way through the Town. There were 50 'Carts' of a total of 125 entries..with a 1,000 people involved...Lit up by 600,000 Light bulbs using a massive 13 Megawatts of Electricity...Probably the greatest free show in Europe. The outright winners were Gremlin's CC with 'Lights, Camera, Action'. 2nd. Marketeer's CC with 'Noah' 3rd. Harlequin CC with 'Fogg's World Tour'. From Today the Carnival will do it's usual circuit of 6 other Somerset Towns from the the 7th--21st November.....Burnham- On -Sea, Weston -S-Mare, North Petherton, Shepton Mallet, Wells and Glastonbury also host the event.( **Thanks to Rich Wand of the North Petherton Carnival Commitee for the circuit venues.)
