Withlacoochee River Bluffs Adventure

Exploring on near the Withlacoochee River in the Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve. The area is in the western tract. You can take the trails up towards the Foster Campsite where near the river you’ll see remnants of the old bridge that crossed there. From here the Florida Trail and other multi-use trails lead northward past the Main Line Rd. to the river Bluffs. It’s an area along the Withlacoochee River with ancient rock croppings and is very scenic when the water levels are down. There are multiple ways to reach the areas in the video so it’s just great to get out and explore it. You’ll find the bluffs near the High Bluff campsite on the Florida Trail. I saw some different wildlife on the adventure and was lucky to enough to get some video clips. It’s always a treat to see the wildlife, it’s such a beautiful place! Enjoy the video and thank you!
