New Comic Books & How I Met JP Mavinga - Signed Sketch #whitesky #comics #nectar #twilightzone #new Thank you @jpmavingaGo visit his page and give him a sub. Hi, welcome to Comic Showcase. I'm going to show you my pulls for the week of March 4th. Let's get started. First up this week, I have Keenpsot Pooh Bear Adventures #1. And don't hate me... I didn't love the art in this one. But the story is adorable and it's it just reminds you what fear can do to you or a person and it's a very cute story. I recommend it. Next, I have EC Comics Cruel Universe Volume 2 number eight. I love the EC Comics. So for this next one, I have EC Comics Cruel Universe Volume 2, number eight, cover B, IDW, The Twilight Zone #5, Cover A. Twilight Zone, IDW, the Twilight Zone number five, cover B. And it's a connecting variant. And I'm not sure if there's another one, but I'm going to take a picture of them together so for you to enjoy. Next, Dynamite, Disney, Tim Burton's, Shiver of Christmas Town #3. So, this next one isn't a new one, but I was at my LCS too long and I ended up going through a bin and finding it and I started to read it and it's actually kind of It has a Twilight Zone feel. It's Aftershock Comics Spectro #1, May 2022. These next few comics um I'm showing off a little bit because I know they're kind of hyped right now and that some of them are hard to get. So for this next one, I have Vault Comics Nectar number one. And I didn't just get one, I actually got three. But pretty beautiful cover in my opinion and I can't wait to get into it. So, for these last ones, I have a little bit of a backstory. Um, so everybody was talking about White Sky, and I was kind of bummed because I missed out on getting the cover a and I really, you know, wanted to read it and wanted to see what everyone was talking about. But luckily, my LCS was having Jean Paul Minga come into their shop, and I was going to be able to see him, talk to him, get a get a signature, possibly get some sketch art. So, I showed up. I ended up being second in line, and I got some sketch art. So, he did sketch covers for me. He did two of them, and he actually put a lot of time into these. He took about 40 minutes talking with me, doing the art. Um he's really well spoken, super nice guy. Um he also did show me um a preview of the cover for issue 4, which it was a sneak peek. He actually showed some of the people in front of me and I saw as well. And then I also watched the live stream with him and he showed the inside artwork for issue number two and it looks really good. I will say issue this issue it was very much a preview kind of what's to come. It got me interested but I still have no idea really where the story is going. Um I did get introduced to the main character and she's very interesting and I can't wait to read more and see what happens. But Jean Paul Movinga is super nice, super talented and you know his artwork is very impressive. In, issue number two, the artwork has a lot going on and he talks about how he plans the different segments and how he tries to use the space and I've heard him talk about how art it can be considered kind of a language and I can completely see that when I look at his stuff. I'm very excited though. So, I got two sketch covers and I think they're beautiful. Thank you for watching my pulls for this week. I hope you enjoyed it and check back for more. Thank you.
