It is known for its stunning courtyards, intricately designed gates, beautifully decorated halls, and a fusion of red and pink sandstone and white marble. Layout: The City Palace complex is divided into several courtyards and buildings, including the Mubarak Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam, and various museums. Chandra Mahal: This is the main residence of the current Maharaja of Jaipur. It is a seven-story palace with exquisite architecture and is still used by the royal family for various ceremonies. Diwan-i-Khas: Also known as the Hall of Private Audience, this is where the Maharaja met with important dignitaries. It features beautifully decorated pillars and an ornate ceiling. Diwan-i-Aam: This is the Hall of Public Audience, where the Maharaja addressed the general public. It is an open pavilion with 27 colonnades. Pritam Niwas Chowk: This courtyard is famous for its four beautifully decorated doorways, each representing a different season. It leads to the Chandra Mahal. Museum: The City Palace complex houses several museums that showcase art, textiles, arms, and other royal artifacts, providing visitors with insight into the history and culture of Jaipur.
