Gorgeous old growth Brazilian Rosewood back, sides and headstock plates, red cedar top, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Gold Schaller tuners w/ebony knobs. Original faux beige leather case with gold hardware -- embossed with his name and a Brazilian flag pin. 2004 This is wonderful guitar, with a very clear even sound from treble to bass. Easy to play, very responsive. It is on EBay for sale now. It is a slightly smaller body style (very similar to a Traphagen 'Ponce' model, which I think is a Hauser style), double drilled bridge tie holes, 4 layer binding on the top, Spanish heel. The guitar is in excellent condition, but has a few normal tiny scratches and small nail dings, and a very small string ding behind the first string by the bridge. The recording has only a little reverb, no eq or other digital enhancements. A few areas have a tiny amount of white, which have always been on the guitar since I bought it. My guess is some sort of polishing compound. There are a few original tiny imperfections in the binding . Both of these are visible in some of the pictures (the one with the top and the treble strings by the fretboard, or around the bridge). I do not own this guitar any more. It has new D'addario J45 basses and older LaBella 2001 medium trebles. Rodrigo Moreira is a Brazilian luthier who is quickly gaining a international reputation for his fine instruments and superb woods. He has worked with luthiers Humphrey, Friederich, Elliott and Jim Frieson, along with many others. His guitars feature some of the oldest and most incredible Brazilian rosewood in existence. His guitars are becoming well-known, and now sell new for $4500-5000. Although he learned his craft in Brazil from his grandfather, he now resides in Massachusetts. He is also the president of the Brazilian Rosewood Foundation which exports legal Brazilian Rosewood The action is set up quite low, about 3.3mm on bass and treble (to the bottom of the string -- hard to measure), and the saddle is low. There are no cracks, warps, or dents on this guitar. It has well balanced trebles and basses and is a well seasoned guitar.
