Wake-Up! & Dance is a sacred space for freedom of expression, prayer and transformation. These meditations usually last about an hour. My name is Swara and I'm transforming in this space. Not as a seeker of attention, but as an enthusiastic expression of permission. Permission to not let the fearof looking like a fool stop you from expressing yourself without inhibition, to break through limiting mental constructs, and breathe ourselves into more of who we truly are, beyond the mind. Wake-Up! your consciousness and Dance for your life! Sometimes I stream meditations with my camera on, when giving energy into the Zeitgeist supports my forward movement. And, sometimes I have my camera off to keep my meditations private if I'm going through deeper parts of my transformation. While opening all of our energy centers, we invite the present moment to reveal our truest nature. I love to meditate to awaken a realized state of consciousness with Wake-Up! & Dance. This way of meditating allows us to be present to whatever sensations are showing up, without judging the experience as good or bad. We confront the many ways we disassociate from present moment and connect to the great what is. Instead of resisting so called negative feels, we go all the way into the feelings and let them be expressed through movement and breath. Please join us in the daily practice of movement in meditation, Wake-Up! & Dance, a form of somatic movement and stillness meditation. This meditation is all about energy. Tune in and identify "stuck," energies then practice pushing past these limitations so that we can access intuition in connection to what some refer to as God, beyond issues, and discover how being present will provide the information you need spontaneously, without the need to rehearse or ruminate with the mind. Somatic dance has roots in ancient indigenous forms of spirituality. Stillness meditation is commonly known for it’s wellness benefits, but it is not easy for many people to practice stillness. Stillness meditation is much easier to practice after releasing pent up energy through ecstatic movement Sign up at to connect at www.denvermeditationcenter.com My favorite thing to do is listen to music and dance. It’s how I pray. It’s how I meditate. Dance to open your heart. Dance to connect to your spiritual beloved; source of love from within. Release and connect to a genuine place of deepest gratitude and overwhelming love through movement of the body. Then, in stillness meditation, open to receive guidance from the inner connection deepened through somatic movement and dance. If you're nursing an injury, modify your movement to support healing in the areas that are effected. It's one of the genius parts of meditating this way...we can learn to connect to our bodies, learn how to listen to the "ouch," and focus our energies where needed to support healing; body, mind, heart and soul. There’s also ample time to explore self-inquiry. “Who am I,” or, “What is MU,” are common self-inquiry questions to ask. For me, focusing on the present moment and body sensations help me stay present. If my mind is thinking about stories from the past, or projecting into the future, I can just take a breath and refocus to the present moment. Watch what happens after moving the body and increasing the breath when you then try to sit still. Is it easier to find a clear mind space? Does the mind kick in as soon as the music stops? Whatever shows up for you is perfect. Try not to judge. Focus on being present for whatever shows up. If emotions get triggered, tears or agitation, bliss or anguish, fear or overwhelming love, give yourself permission to feel it fully. Let the feelings wash over you like water. If the mind kicks in, or resistance kicks in, you can always grab a hand towel, take a big breath and practice a silent scream!!! You can also increase the intensity of your breath. Shake your fist at the All Mighty!! Finally allow yourself to cry at the loss you’ve experienced in life. Just let it go, let it flow…and tell me how it goes. Tune in for part of or all of this journey, and invite friends or your sangha (A Buddhist term referring to circle of friends on your spiritual journey), or enter this journey in solitude. If you find this meditation journey supportive, leave me a comment and let me know what you experience.
