What could you possibly document in a daily sketchbook or journal? You might be surprised! If you’ve ever wondered how you can quickly and easily make a little art everyday, without getting bogged down with trying to make perfect art journal pages, then come see what my daily creative practice looks like. In this video, I’ll give you a midyear tour of my 2022 Moleskine Daily Diary — the agenda I use every year. It’s not even a proper sketchbook, but as you’ll see, even though the paper is thin, it stands up to all the paint and collage I add to the pages. I’ll show you my pages while sharing how I use visual journaling to sketch, write, draw and document ordinary life to capture my ideas, memories, experiences and progress on my goals — visually. As an artist and author, I keep lots of different visual journals. You can adapt this idea to document your life, as a scrapbook alternative, a different approach to art journaling, or easy memory keeping. All in a simple yearly planner agenda.
