Homelessness doesn’t happen one way—and neither does healing. In this video, you’ll meet Frederick, Mike, and Angeles, neighbors connected through The Stewpot in Dallas. Frederick lost access to insulin, which led to a serious health crisis and the loss of his legs. Mike lost his wife, became addicted while living on the streets, and found stability through The Stewpot’s Writer’s Workshop. Today, he’s housed and works as a drug counselor. Angeles shows what’s possible when someone is supported early and given real opportunity. Their stories show the reality of homelessness and what happens when people are met with dignity, care, and consistent support. As Mr. Rogers said, “Please won’t you be my neighbor?” At The Stewpot, that question turns into action. Come take a tour and get involved at The Stewpot: thestewpot.org/volunteer
