Following the destruction of Metrobus' hydroliner 6069 to a devastating fire, Wrightbus has taken the decision to order metrobus to recall all of their single decker hydroliners for battery investigations. This has left a 42 vehicle deficit in the fleet. As a result, in order to keep services that would otherwise be cancelled online, metrobus are pulling in emergency loans left and right, even going as far to use an open topper as a loan on the 23. Part 2 sees one of GNE's B7TL Geminis on route 400. Since there are already 6901, 6906 and 6913 within metrobus' own fleet (the Gemini 2s), the loan geminis have had an extra 6 added to their fleet number for metrobus. (66901, 66906 and 66913). These geminis have not been doing well in just their less than 72 hours on loan. 66906 broke down while doing the route 3, not even making it past the morning, and I also heard about another gemini sounding far from healthy. It would seem, that while all the other loans are going fine, the geminis may not be as fine as their fellow loans. As of writing this description, 66906 has still not returned to service, 2 days after its failure... oops.
