Full video    • 🥃🇯🇵Since 1923 Yamazaki Suntory Whisky...   My second time visiting this amazing place in a quiet town half way between Osaka and Kyoto Japan. 101 years old on a centuries old trading route that now modern trains whiz by connecting the populated area. The water is pure and considered sacred around here, a perfect spot for a distillery, and the origin of Japan becoming the 5th major whisky making region on Earth after Ireland, Scotland, USA (Kentucky) and Canada. When I first came here in 2017, each tasting was incredibly low cost of 100 yen (about $1 at the time), even the good stuff, but times have changed, but it is still a great price for samplers. I tried some 18 year old aged, 12 year old aged, styles that can be only found at this location, and more amongst the walls of bottles in very cool tasting room. The day before my birthday. *2 separate groups with 1 loud American each (how ironic) ruined the sound in 2 videos so I had to do some voice overs. It is a much sought after ticket to come here so try to reserve a spot in advance. Nice little museum explaining the history and shop with great bottles and gifts. Right next to the factory where the magic happens. A world renowned brand.
