Almost two years after the Hero Xtreme 200S concept’s debut at the Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp has finally unveiled its production version, the Hero Xtreme 200R. It competes with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The Apache is its ideal competitor because other 200 cc bikes in the naked segment have liquid-cooled engines (KTM 200 Duke & Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS). While the Xtreme 200R has commuter design with glammed-up graphics, the Apache has sporty lines hinting at its racing roots. Here’s how the two bikes fare against each other spec-wise: Hero will reveal the price for the Xtreme 200R at the Auto Expo next month. The bike will go on sale in April. Expect Hero to price the bike competitively. This would make the Xtreme a good choice for riders looking for the best balance of comfort, affordability and performance.
