Our peaceful vanlife stopover in Los Nietos, Spain turned into an unforgettable mini-adventure! We parked up on a quiet side road overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, arriving just in time for a full-moon sunset over the shimmering blue waters. The next morning, after a dog walk and spotting jellyfish along the shoreline, we launched the kayak onto the calm, millpond. As we paddled towards one of the five islands of the Mar Menor, the jellyfish grew larger and soon surrounded us! With the wind and tide turning against us, it became a proper workout to get back to the pontoon. After 30 minutes of determined paddling, we made it safely back, enjoyed a refreshing swim, and dried the kayak before heading off to our next vanlife destination.
