Kelly Cherelle Price, born on April 4, 1973, is a prominent American R&B and gospel singer who commenced her career in 1992. Initially known for providing backing vocals to Mariah Carey's hits, she gained recognition in 1997 with uncredited guest appearances on chart-topping singles by The Notorious B.I.G. and Mase. Price's debut album, "Soul of a Woman" (1998), achieved platinum status, featuring the hit single "Friend of Mine" with R. Kelly and Ronald Isley. Her collaboration with Whitney Houston and Faith Evans on the 1998 single "Heartbreak Hotel" earned her a Grammy nomination.
