How to Catch Flies - Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Flies are a bug that spawns only under certain conditions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Flies appear all day and throughout the entire year, but only during sunny weather. They will only spawn next to garbage you've set down outside, so be sure to save those old tires, empty cans, and boots that you fish up. You can also use spoiled turnips to spawn flies, but you run the risk of ants appearing instead. You can sometimes find garbage in the recycling box inside of Resident Services, and if you keep your turnips for longer than a week they will spoil. Flies sell for 80 bells at Timmy and Tommy's shop. You can also give Flick 3 of them in exchange for a model. If you're having trouble making flies spawn, try waiting until the cooler months of the year when there are less bugs available. There are only so many bugs that appear on your island at any one time, so it may take you a tad longer to find one during the summer months. Happy bug hunting!
