Episode 21 unfolds through trade, alchemy, preparation, and long-form progression within Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. The session opens with selling goods to a village trader, building an already substantial treasury of over 2000 gold. More will eventually be needed: full armor for the duel with Tomcat, upgraded tack and saddlery for the horse, additional permanent beds across the region for reliable rest, and specialized clothing sets tailored for trading, combat, and stealth. The gardens in the starting village have regrown, offering a fresh wave of flowers to gather. Their value lies not only in trade but also in refining alchemical stock. With newly harvested ingredients, Marigold concoctions are brewed, supporting health and recovery. A batch of Lion perfume is prepared as well—an item with multiple economic and social uses depending on whether it is worn for improved speech influence or sold outright for significant profit. The remainder of the episode is dedicated to extended crafting. The alchemy system continues to serve as a central pillar of progression, with long sequences of mixing, heating, distilling, and preparing remedies and valuables. Near the end, an unexpected moment unfolds: while attempting to mount the horse, over-encumbrance forces a temporary mass drop of items onto the road. For a moment it seems the possessions have been stolen by passing villagers, a plausible threat in the game’s grounded simulation of opportunistic theft. The truth, however, is less dire—the scattered goods simply rolled toward a nearby fence, where they are eventually recovered. This episode emphasizes preparation, resourcefulness, and the subtle risks of managing inventory in a living medieval world.
