Big Bear Eagle Cam ~ Mrs BB Supervises Shadow Moving Sticks On Nest + Update 7.2.18

Another late afternoon visit to the nest with Mrs.BB and Shadow! Mrs BB arrives first and comes to check things out and goes to her branch and in flies Shadow :) Shadow does what Shadow does best - get to work on the nest again. Mrs BB drops down and supervises and lets Shadow know she is till boss. Shadow just keeps working on the nest lol love that! She goes back up to her branch while he continues his stick placements watching over her shoulder :) Shadow goes to her branch and tries to perch there, Mrs. BB vocalizes softly as comes back down to the nest and then goes to Dad's branch and departs for the evening. I just love watching this relationship unfold! Thank you for watching! Update: Yesterday Stormy and one of his younger eagle friends were seen down on the shore feeding in the morning. Mid day Shadow was perched near shore in the eagles fave perch tree near the habitat. Shadow stayed in and out of the habitat throughout the day. Papa was perched for at least two hours on a pine and Shadow came in and made several fly by's and no vocals by either during the time we observed. Shadow did some interesting low flight and seemed to be taunting or showing off to Papa and never landed or perched in the area instead took off to the west toward the dam. This appears to be a lighter holiday so far this year as the 4th of July fell mid week so that has been in the eagles favor!
