I've been asked multiple times so I felt a video was the easiest way to show how I plow snow with my 1997 LX450. This truck has a 5.3L V8 and a 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission. If you're curious about the swap, I have published a series of videos describing every step of this process here. • LS Swapping My Land Cruiser! The plow is a 6.5' Western Uni-mount. Sadly there are NO bolt on adapters for any type of plow available for the 80 series land cruiser. It does exist for 4runner's which makes no sense as I had this plow on my '91 before and it was overwhelming for that sized vehicle. The bracket used is a modified wester unimount bracket from a ford ranger or bronco II. There is an additional brace welded in between both frame rails behind the bumper. The bracket attaches in 6 places, 4 on this welded on brace and one on each side in an existing hole of the frame. Wiring for the plow itself is very self explanatory but there are no plug and play harnesses for the light attachment. I do not use the lights on the plow at this time. One thing to note, driving at highway speeds with the plow in the full-up position can cause your engine to run warm. The plow blocks of a lot of air flow to the radiator.
