How I sew octokittens! (beginner's tutorial - unfinished)

A couple of years ago, I started trying to make a tutorial video on how to sew octokittens - everyone's favourite hybrid cuddly toy and mascot of my erstwhile band, The Mechanisms. However, it rapidly became clear that video tutorials were not my strong suit, and that my video and editing equipment left something to be desired. So, with some relief, I decided to discard the project. However, with so many people wanting to make their own octokittens, I thought I might as well publish the first part in case it gives people the impetus to get started! This is very much aimed at beginners, rather than those able to develop their own design. It's also unfinished, so you don't get every step explained - however, I hope it gives you some inspiration!
