第3回ミンダナオ島の旅🇵🇭 フィリピン ミンダナオ島ダバオ旅行記。 ミンダナオ島の戦い、ミンタル戦没者慰霊碑巡り＆戦跡ツアー ミンダナオ・ダバオのミンタル小学校にある太田恭三郎の業績を讃えた日比友好祈念塔、日本軍の洞窟陣地、ジャパニーズトンネル、ミンタル共同墓地にあるミンタル日本人墓地へ手を合わせに行ってきました。 太田恭三郎はミンタルにアバカ麻栽培を行う太田興業株式会社を1907年に設立、この会社はダバオの農業開発を推進する原動力となり、 ダバオはアバカ麻栽培を中心として発展し、ミンダナオ島の経済発展にも繋がったそうです。 ダバオ・ミンタル共同墓地にある日本人墓地には、沖縄の塔、在留先亡同胞霊塔、戦争犠牲者の慰霊、先亡日本人供養之塔、比国日系人会貢献者之塔が建立されており、多くの日本人、フィリピン日系人の方々が眠っています。 第二次世界大戦前、ミンタルやカリナンには約2万人近い日本人移民が住んでおり、東南アジア最大の日本人街、リトル東京が形成されたそうです。 日本人移民の半数は沖縄県出身者で、マニラ麻の生産で財を成し豊かな生活を送って暮らしていました。 第二次世界大戦が始まると、日本人移民の生活は一変し、財産は凍結され、男は戦争に駆り出されました。 戦争末期になると、日本人移民は山の中に逃げ、飢えや病い、自決等で約5千人もの日本人市民が命を落としたそうです。 終戦後、15歳以上の日本人は強制送還され、多くの家族が引き裂かれ、取り残された子供達は、迫害や差別から逃れる為に日本名を捨て山の中でひっそり生きたそうです。 取り残された当時の子供達は約3800人、今もフィリピン各地には、日本人の血を引きながら日本人ともフィリピン人とも認められずに、無国籍状態で暮らしてる残留日本人が居るそうです。 ジャパニーズトンネルは1942年から1945年の日本帝国軍の監督下で、フィリピン人捕虜に作らせた洞窟陣地で、終戦から20年後の1960年代に、フィ リピン - 日本友好ハイウェイ建設中に偶然発見され、トンネル内からは金塊や金の仏陀等が発見されたそうです。 3rd, Trip to Mindanao Island🇵🇭 Battle of Mindanao, tour of War Memorials & War Ruins We went to see the Japan-Philippines Friendship Prayer Pagoda honoring the achievements of Ota Kyozaburo, the Japanese Cemetery in the Mintal Public Cemetery and the Japanese Tunnel, located at the Mintal in Davao, Mindanao. We went to the Japanese Cemetery in the Mintal Public Cemetery to lay our hands together. The Japanese Cemetery in the Davao Mintal Public Cemetery is home to the Okinawa Pagoda, a memorial to war victims, memorial tower for deceased Japanese residents, and a Tower of those Japanese residents who passed away, where many Japanese and people of Philippine descent rest. Before World War II, nearly 20,000 Japanese immigrants lived in Minthar and Cullinan, forming Little Tokyo, the largest Japanese town in Southeast Asia. Half of the Japanese immigrants were from Okinawa Prefecture, where they made their fortune from the production of Manila hemp and lived an affluent life. When World War II broke out, the lives of Japanese immigrants changed drastically, their property was frozen, and men were sent to war. At the end of the war, Japanese immigrants fled into the mountains, and as many as 5,000 Japanese citizens lost their lives due to hunger, disease, and other causes. After the war, Japanese citizens over 15 years old were deported, many families were torn apart, and the children who were left behind had to abandon their Japanese names and live quietly in the mountains to escape persecution and discrimination There are still some 3,800 children left behind in the Philippines, and there are still Japanese who are of Japanese descent but are not recognized as Japanese or Filipino, and live in a stateless state in various parts of the Philippines. The Japanese Tunnel was a cave camp built by Filipino POWs under the supervision of the Japanese Imperial Army from 1942 to 1945.
