In this video I share what’s been happening to my YouTube channel after several of my older videos – some over two years old and still getting steady views – were suddenly demonetized. These videos were previously reviewed by YouTube and confirmed as eligible for monetization, yet I now receive weekly emails saying they are no longer monetized due to copyright issues — even when the claim involves only a short section of music. I also talk about how this has affected Shorts that were created from those original videos, including Shorts that I personally edited and changed, but were still removed. On top of that, I explain how one of my aquarium videos featuring a Siamese fighting fish (Betta) received a warning after someone reported it as cruel — despite the fish being properly cared for. This video isn’t meant to attack YouTube — it’s meant to open a real discussion for small creators who work hard to follow the rules, use editing software like KineMaster, and still end up losing monetization years later. Is it fair that a short music clip can affect a full 20-minute video? Should approved videos be demonetized years after review? And how should creators deal with Shorts removals and viewer reports? If you’re a creator — especially in the aquarium, pond, or educational niche — I hope this helps you understand what’s happening and that you’re not alone.
