Stepping out into the world and pressing pause on studio work is what this episode is about. I’m grateful for the ability to pivot my career and embrace creativity through content creation and illustration. But that freedom hasn’t come without its challenges. There have been moments that pushed me to my limits, late nights, tech hiccups, emotional overwhelm, and the results haven’t always been pretty behind the scenes. This episode is a reminder that breaks are necessary. Time to reflect, reset, and reconnect with who I am and the vision I’m building. Mental health matters, especially when you’re creating, caregiving, and constantly adapting. Join me as I wander through Scotland with my little Tobi. We visit Dean Castle Country Park, spot deer, and stop by The Ship Inn in Irvine. Along the way, I share my experience of living in Scotland as a first-generation Mexican American woman, navigating identity, creativity, and belonging far from home. A special thank you to Barrio Drive for making their kickass merch available worldwide and for supporting independent creatives. 🌐 Check out their website: www.barriodrive.com 📸 Show them some love on Instagram: @barriodrive If you enjoy slow living, travel in Scotland, honest conversations about mental health, or creative life behind the scenes — you’re in the right place.
