Eastern Strategic Link Cork | Leakage Reduction Programme | Irish Water

As part of the Leakage Reduction Programme we recently installed a new trunk water main along the Lower Glanmire Road to improve the resilience of the water network in Cork City, and increasing connectivity to enable re-routing of water supply as required. An efficient programme of night works facilitated the installation of 1.1km of new trunk water main between Millennium Gardens and Water Street in Cork City throughout October and November 2018. The works also seen the delivery of 500 metres of new distribution water mains and associated service connections to homes and businesses in the north area of the city.
