In the remote villages of Gokwe North, access to healthcare has always been a challenge. Rugged terrain, long distances to clinics, and unforgiving heat have made it nearly impossible for children and the elderly to get the medical attention they need. Thanks to the Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL) program, village health workers are going door-to-door, mobilising communities and bringing lifesaving healthcare closer to home. From vaccinations for children to screenings for the elderly, this initiative is transforming lives in the most hard-to-reach areas. Watch as we follow the inspiring story of Gogo Bhunu, a 90-year-old grandmother, who welcomes the health team into her homestead—and discover how this program is bridging healthcare gaps in rural Zimbabwe. 👉 Don’t forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe to HealthTimes TV for more powerful stories from Zimbabwe and beyond.
