From Season 22 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 15: The Survival of Sam the Pelican, which originally aired February 29th, 1976. Teenager Rick Preston is having a hard time trying to decide what to do with his life. He heads for the Florida Keys, hoping the area will provide a quiet place for him to think things over. There, he is offered a job by Pete Barnes, a salvage operator who is about to depart on a dive trip to a treasure ship. Rick declines, but Pete agrees to drop him on a secluded island, promising to return later to pick him up. Rick then meets Dave Weyburn, an officer with Florida's Fish and Wildlife Department, and agrees to participate in a survey of the local pelican population. Starring Kim Friese as Rick Preston, Scott Lee as Peter Barnes and Bill DeHollander as Dave Weyburn.
