Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped me reach 1000 subscribers! This has been a goal of mine ever since I started the channel and I’m glad that I reached it. However, the channel growth doesn’t stop there, the journey has just started! This is a compilation of nearly every single train horn and whistle that I have recorded up to 2024 since I first started filming trains in 2016, and filming more frequently since 2019. The final video ended up containing 42 minutes of train horns and whistles for you to enjoy. All horns and whistles are organised and listed alphabetically by manufacturer and model. I would like to thank @HybridBell for helping provide his extensive horn knowledge which assisted greatly in making this video, and the people on various Facebook groups who helped me with information on the CR NM class whistle, Westinghouse B horn, NSWGR railmotor whistle, and QR EMU horn. Thanks to @TazzieTransport for lending me a few jointly filmed clips. The clips of the Corio crossing are from the same video of 2 V/locities exchanging horn blasts - they are not accidentally repeated across the 2 video groups. The Nathan and Hyson Ks1 & Ks2 2 chimes are grouped together for simplicity, and also because it is unknown whether the 3000 class railcar has the Nathan or Hyson model. Most likely Hyson but because the back of the power chambers are covered it is not possible to fully confirm. Some videos have 2 different horns blowing at the same time or in quick succession. I have tried to separate these where possible but for the videos that still have them, I have put the name of the 2nd horn blowing as well. The video of CLP14 in the Ks1 & Ks2 section is not an audio glitch, but is instead a SCT class blowing the horn out of frame.
