Castle Crag, Wainwrights smallest fell, 290m

Our favourite route to the top of Castle Crag from the village of Rosthwaite which is in Borrowdale in the Lake District. We follow the River Derwent through the woods and past the caves on our way to the top of Castle Crag. On the summit is a memorial to the Borrowdale men killed in ww1. We were lucky to have a good view down to Derwent Water and north towards Keswick.
