DriverD #7.d – Automating Two Locomotives with DCC-EX, EX-Rail 4K.mov Welcome to Driver D Trains. Thanks for stopping by! I’m your host Driver D. Our conductor and brakeman Scratchy-C is still remembering that trip to Chicago. [Meow!] In my recent series of videos on using DCC-EX, EX-RAIL, we developed the Roll Out! automations to drive our train from one end of the layout to the other, and back again. In this video, part 4 in the series, we’ll develop a new set of automations to control two locomotives, working together, to switch freight cars from one track to another. To do this, we’ll learn some new ways to control our automations so they work together in tandem. Look for my community posts with all the EX-Rail script from today’s video so that you can try out the automation yourself. Community post with the EX-Rail automation script for today’s video: / @driverdtrains Be sure to check below for links to my other videos, including my video series on assembling a DCC-EX command station, and my series on using JMRI’s DecoderPro app to control our trains, as well as the various websites and products I mention here. The freight won’t move itself, so let’s get started. Chapters: 00:00 Welcome to Driver D trains! 01:57 Automating Two Locomotives with DCC-EX, EX-Rail 03:44 Part 1.
