Building with Stone

Watch as we begin constructing the stone walls of our new outbuilding that is designed similar the the old barns in our area. Building with stone takes more thought than building with standard size bricks or stones. No two are alike and neither are the places you need to fill. Plus building a wall takes more thought that building the retaining wall I built behind this structure. Unlike its one flat side and rubble behind, stone walls of a building have two sides which need to be flat and straight with rubble in between. Needless to say I thought we would be MUCH farther along with our stone wall construction by the end of 2024. But we will hit it again in the spring!
