Some of them you throw away after a while, but some you love forever ⚡. ‘Lightning Bolt’ is the oldest song on the album, it was finished in an hour and it’s still one of my favourites. It’s about feeling lost and helpless until you question everything. It’s focusing on unhelpful obsessions while the world just gently shuffles by without you. It’s the times you feel numb but at the same time you feel everything. And that’s probably why it’s still one of my favourites - life has changed, the world has changed, we’re all getting older but we still all carry these feelings with us.
