This free Botany360 event took place on May 18, 2022 and was part two of a two-part event adapted from the publishing workshop held in conjunction with Botany 2021 Virtual! Presented by Dr. Pamela Diggle, University of Connecticut, Editor-in-Chief, American Journal of Botany, and Amy McPherson, Director of Publications, Botanical Society of America and Managing Editor, American Journal of Botany. Navigating the peer review process can be tricky. Standards for submission, review, and response to reviewers aren’t always formally taught and can be difficult to understand. Those navigating the review process for the first time often must rely on a network of mentors to maneuver a manuscript through submission to acceptance. In this two-part workshop, we provided an introduction to all stages of the peer review process.
