I’m currently in Looker Studio with a page open, and I realized I was on the wrong view at first. But no worries, let’s get right into it. To add a scorecard, which is a simple way to display key metrics, you start by clicking on the "Add a Chart" option. There are various types of charts available, like bar charts and time series, but we’re focusing on the scorecard today. Once you select the scorecard option, you’ll need to decide where you want to place it on your page. For this demonstration, I’ll just drop it in a random spot. By default, my scorecard is set to show "views," but you can customize this. Just head over to the "Setup" section under the data source. Depending on what data you’re working with, you can choose different metrics to display. This flexibility allows you to tailor the scorecard to your specific needs. If you want to enhance your scorecard, you can add spark lines, which are those little blue lines that show trends over time. This feature is great for visualizing data changes at a glance. You can also set up comparison periods to see how your metrics have changed over time. This includes adding up and down arrows to indicate whether the numbers are increasing or decreasing, along with the percentage changes. And that’s pretty much it!
