Before the matches begin, I'd like to show you something: Now that my VR has finally gotten back to above 8000, I've gone through the tedious task of getting the 3-star rank in the 50cc classes. (I've already 3-starred all of 100cc, 150cc, and Mirror over a year ago but never got around to 50cc.) And, of course, as you can see, my Wii Wheel usage has remained at 100% all this time, meaning I've never ever used any other control scheme. It works for me. Unfortunately, it displays my "Favorite Course" as Luigi Circuit. Lousy Final Destinationers...And it should come as no surprise that I've been hit with way more items than I've hit people with. Battle #1 Coin Runners Chain Chomp Wheel The other people on the Red Team seemed to have known they were playing Coin Runners, but it looks as though once they got hit, they never bothered to stick around to reclaim the Coins that popped out from them. Either that, or the Blue Team was just too good at snatching them up. I saw the Coin count decrease but never realy increase too much. I guess they're just too spread out. Eventually, it became largely up to me. At 10 seconds left on the timer, I had 18 Coins, and it looks like someone on the Blue Team did too as they suddenly lost 8 Coins. I went to go pick them up and scored a literal last-second victory for the Red Team. Oh yeah, and thanks to Player as well for actually having Coins, as he's important to victory too. The others...not so much. Nah, just kidding. They probably got unlucky. Battle #2 Coin Runners DS Twilight House Here's that house again, with the sparkly vampires with superpowers who stay young forever. This time, I've brought along a Guest, something you've yet to see from my videos. I'm sure most of you already know what it looks like and I have too. Just that this is time first time I do so while actually recording. I started off slow in this match, but I managed to pick up steam by breaking through the other team and nabbing their Coins. A last-second Red Shell knocked me down at the end, but the Red Team still won thanks to the other guy in the Red Team who held onto his Coins. My guest Mar, who apparently plays an occasional Mario Kart Wii with Alton Brown, hasn't played this as much as Alton has, so give her some slack. Battle #3 Coin Runners GCN Cookie Land Cookie Land is actually my favorite among the Battle Mode stages because it's small and highly strategic. Unfortunately, it's also ripe for veritable frenzies of blasts. In all the Battle Mode matches I've had, I never ran into a Golden Mushroom, which as far as Battle Mode goes, I'd consider more of a curse than a blessing because you're stuck for 10 seconds without the capability of using other items. Not really sure of what to do with it, I blasted ahead and got knocked silly. All of my Coins were stripped from me, and I continued gettng hit anyway. I got mugged.
