Bioinformatics Club | 19.08 - How can AI transform the analysis of gene expression data?

This is the recording of the second meeting of the third session of IBRE Bioinformatics Club, an open series of online seminars dedicated to the discussion of best practices in modern bioinformatics and computational biology. During this meeting, which took place on August 19, 2025, we have discussed the use of artificial intelligence (AI) methods in the analysis of gene expression data, including both bulk RNA-seq and single cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq). Two expert speakers have presented their perspective on the topic: 1. Dr. Alexander Predeus, principal bioinformatician at the Cellular Genomics Informatics division, Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK; 2. Dr. Alexey Sergushichev, assistant professor of Pathology and Immunology at the Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
