Energy System Digital Twin - Visual Demonstrator (Impact of investment on homes)

#digitaltwins have long been spoken about as one of the key solutions arising from digitalisation, empowering their users with the information and insights they need to make more informed decisions. The Cyber Physical Infrastructure project - commissioned by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) - was tasked with augmenting the DESNZ (BEIS) Energy System Digital Twin Demonstrator with additional Bayesian network capability and enhanced graphics, to allow probabilistic outcomes to be generated, supporting decision makers in a more robust manner than previously possible. This video walk through shows how confidence levels are calculated relative to various deployment scenarios, how these can be compared, and traced back to inputs, and also the newly developed local views to show how the impact of investment on homes may look like to communities. These visual demonstrator were developed in a collaboration between Energy Systems Catapult, the Frazer Nash Consultancy and CityScape Digital.
